Overview

We helped a life sciences fortune 500 company to become more efficient and competitive by reorganizing distribution operations across 20+ European countries. By driving and coordinating execution across the full DMAIC project cycle (definition, measurement, analysis, improve to control) we supported the design & implementation of a new standardised distribution platform as a strategic enabler for the future.

Client Profile

Large multinational health care company listed among the Fortune 500. Active in three sectors, it manufactures and distributes medical devices, pharmaceutical products and consumer packaged goods.

Challenge

Our client objective was to become more efficient, profitable and competitive by reorganizing its channel distribution across multiple warehouse locations in Europe. Both the physical network as well as the process and organization setup showed clear potential for consolidation, integration and standardisation.

Solution

We played a content & expertise role on customer facing & distribution processes and organizational transformation going from business case development over process design towards implementation of the final solution & deployment. Design workshop facilitation, adequate business validation and clear stakeholder communication were key in the process to be successful. As well as tight program management and change control.
